“Kindness is like snow-it beautifies everything it covers.” ~Kahlil Gibran

I wish I could have captured the true beauty of the snow yesterday, but this picture really didn’t do it justice.  The glimmer the sun was casting on the snow that blanketed the ground, and the shimmer of the frost gleaming off the wheat stubble was so stunning.  I was just driving by and had to quickly jump out and snap a few pictures.  I was very disappointed when I got home and the picture wasn’t even close to what I had expereienced, but nonetheless, I still had to share the picture that I did get.

It is good to see a blanket of snow covering the ground, though the ground is now frozen, it is a sign for us of moisture.  It was such a dry fall, and seeing the snow gives us hope for the New Year!

  1. Another beautifully composed and captured image, QFC! I just came back from shooting Garden of the Gods, in Colorado Springs. Can’t wait to see what I’ve really captured!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you so much! I am looking forward to your pictures, I have never been to the Garden of the Gods, but it is definitely on my bucket list. It seems like I have been everywhere in Colorado, but never managed to make it there. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and looking forward to another amazing year. Hope all is well with you and you had wonderful holidays as well.

      • Thanks, Jill, and we did! Glad you and yours also had a great “holiday season,” as I like to call it. :-] Had a great time off!

GoG is definitely a place you have to visit. Incredible rock formations! I just went through my shots and got some really good ones! Gonna have fun posting them….

        Here’s to a great 2017!!!
